Introduction

Global HSE Training & Consulting Ltd is pleased to offer a selection of courses and qualifications to learners. The following rules apply to all courses:

Course Signup

Delegate Information Form (DIF) and Initial Assessment Form (IAF):

  • It is imperative that prior to the course start, all learners complete their Delegate Information Form (DIF) and Initial Assessment Form (IAF).
  • Links to these forms will be sent to you approximately 5 days prior to your course start. These should be completed as soon as possible.
  • The online form must be filled out entirely with 100% factual information. This information will be used to:
    • Personalize your learning experience
    • Ensure the course/qualification is suitable for you
    • Submit to the Awarding Organisation for certificate production when required

Additional Information Required:

  • Learner Age: All learners must be aged 19 or above. Learners under 18 require written permission from a parent/guardian.
  • English Requirements: Learners must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Digital Skills: Basic IT skills are required, including the ability to use Zoom and other digital platforms.
  • Learning Difficulties/Disabilities: Learners must inform Global HSE Training & Consulting Ltd prior to the course if they have any learning difficulties or disabilities that may affect their learning.
  • Learner Experiences: You must be experienced and/or competent in your job role. Provide detailed descriptions on your signup form for tailored support.

Candidate Identification Requirements

Online Courses:

  • Valid government-issued passport or UK/EU driver’s license (not a photocopy)
  • Full name on ID must match your web account profile and appointment confirmation
  • Recent, recognizable photo
  • Minors under 18 must present government-issued ID with a legal parent/guardian present

Test Centre Courses:

  • Primary ID: Valid passport or UK/EU driver’s license
  • Secondary ID options available (List A and List B) for test centre candidates only

PC Requirements

  • Strong, reliable internet connection
  • Desktop computer, laptop, or standard-sized tablet (mobile handsets not supported)
  • Working microphone, camera, and speakers for all remote courses (no headsets during exams)
  • Recommended minimum specifications:
    • Operating system: Windows, Apple, or Android
    • Processor: 3 GHz
    • RAM: 2 GB
    • Broadband speed: 512 kbps
    • Screen resolution: 1024 by 768
    • Latest version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Safari

Course/Qualification Resources

  • Remote Courses: All mandatory resources supplied as e-resources only, available for 1 calendar year
  • Classroom-based Courses: All mandatory resources supplied as paper-based on the course day
  • Additional Paper Resources: Available at extra cost if requested within 2 days of course purchase
  • Accessing e-resources voids refund eligibility

Course Start

Course Requirements:

  • Attend all days of the course/qualification – failure results in course failure
  • Mobile phones must be switched off; no work expected during course hours
  • Punctuality mandatory – lateness may result in course failure at tutor’s discretion
  • Disruptive behaviour may lead to removal from the course
  • Active participation in group discussions and assignments required
  • Web camera must be on for entire course duration
  • Respectful behaviour towards tutors/assessors mandatory
  • All submitted work must be your own, with no falsification
  • Missing any part of the course may result in non-completion

Assessor-Marked Elements:

  • Some elements require work outside normal course hours
  • Failure to complete mandatory activities results in course failure
  • Must pass all assessor-marked elements to sit end-of-course examinations

Course Completion and Achievement

Exam Locations:

  • Remote Courses: Suitable environment required – alone in room, clear desk, no resources visible
  • Classroom-based Courses: Candidates seated minimum 1.25m apart

Exam Conditions (Additional Learner Support):

  • Additional learning support must be agreed prior to course start
  • Available accommodations: Reader/Recorder, Additional Time, other support on request

Exam Conditions (General):

  • Mobile phones off during exam
  • Clean desk policy – no notes or resources
  • Quiet environment with no interruptions
  • No headsets – separate microphone required
  • Webcam must remain on throughout exam
  • No re-entry if candidate leaves exam
  • Communication via chat facility (remote) or raised hand (classroom)
  • Follow open/closed book policy as specified
  • No eating, drinking, vaping, or smoking

Re-takes and Costs:

  • Free resit on exam day if eligibility criteria met
  • Resit within 90 days: £50+VAT
  • E-certificates issued only (Awarding Body rule)
  • Certificates typically issued within 30 days

Q: What happens if I can’t attend all days?
A: Full attendance is mandatory. Contact Global HSE Training & Consulting Ltd immediately if you cannot attend.

Q: What if I have technical issues?
A: Contact us immediately for support. Ensure you meet all technical requirements before course start.

Q: Can I request hard copy resources?
A: Yes, available for remote courses if requested before accessing e-resources. Additional cost applies.

Q: What about suspected fraudulent practice?
A: Report immediately to the Quality Manager or Centre Manager.

Q: Special considerations for disabilities?
A: Yes, inform us prior to course start to arrange necessary accommodations.
